And I thought I was the one having weird dreams. I have been chatting a bit with a woman at my workplace. Today she told me about this dream she keep seeing all over again. In this dream, she owns a small studio apartment. She knows it's there and is happy to have that place. Suddenly she remembers that she has cats and dogs in there and goes there, usually by bike. She always finds one of the cats there, dead and feels guilt, then wakes up.
I have recurring dreams, too, but mine are always somewhat enjoyable, minus the ones I've been haunted by the devil or its minions.
Just yesterday I noticed (as I was watching Miss Potter for the umpteenth time) that I haven't seen Ewan McGregor in my dreams for quite some time now. Thank heavens. By the way, I love the movie Miss Potter and I don't understand why. I think it's because I don't like my mother, neither does Miss Potter in the movie. She's something of an oddity in her time, so am I. Maybe it's the music. Or Ewan McGregor singing "Let me teach you how to dance" without harmonizers etc.
I rarely cry in the movies, but this one manages to open the floodgates almost every time. Well, I was pretty emotional yesterday, because Hubble was released back to its lonely orbit.
Tune of the moment: Peter Gabriel - I grieve
I grieve for you
You leave me
Let it out and move on
When people were made, there were some pieces left - enough to make one more person. That's me. I'm leftovers.

I Want Graveyard Book - The Movie
When listening to (yes, I'm addicted to audio books - nothing beats playing Fallout 3 & listening to books) The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, I formed this image in my head even though Neil Jordan has been assigned to write & direct a movie of the book:
The Graveyard Book - The Movie
Directed by Tim Burton
Produced by Danny Boyle / Edgar Wright.
Starring:
Liam Broggy as young Bod
Alex Pettyfer as late teen Bod
Gary Oldman as Silas
Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Lupescu
Emma Roberts as Lisa Hempstock
Sophie Wu as teen Scarlett Amber Perkins
Tim Kang as The Man Jack
Toby Stephens as Mr Owens
Rae Ritke as Mrs Owens
Kevin McKidd as Caius Pompeius
But, I guess we'll be seeing a crappy shitmovie that will spoil the book.

The Day The Earth Stood Still
I just love one-face-Keanu. Though in DESS it was justified, he is an alien and everything, I believe he's overbotoxed himself.
I had to whisper: "Wake up, Neo" at a certain point in the movie...
The movie: I thought I liked the movie until we got to the part where the Disney shit started, you know the *sob* I miss dad *sob* me too *sob shit*. Only US flag waving could have made the film worse. I hated the kid (Will Smith: Your kid is terrible, do him a favor and quit pushing him towards film career, he'll be in rehab in less than ten years anyway) from the get-go and when he called the authorties on Kleetus whereabouts, I was past anger. Made me realize why I hate kids and their way of thinking.. The graveyard (over-sappy shit) scene made me frustrated and I wanted to leave the theater, but thought I might was well let J finish it, though he wasn't pleased either. I'm sorry but this movie was sort of, like Disney meets Neo. The Disney part was the I-thought-you-thought-broken-relationship between the step mom and the annoying brat. I kept hoping the woman would give a good bitch slap to the boy and ditch him. How cruel of me.
One good thing: I almost cried when the spheres started gathering animals, saving the ones who weren't to blame. Another good thing: I almost cried when the woman understands Kleetu is here to save life on earth but not humans. We would deserve it. A disease that would wipe most of the population. Interstellar intervention. Anything that would give us a lesson...
The thing is.. I don't think we'd learn.
I'd give two stars to DESS, but only because I happen to like Keanu and I liked the two emotion spikes. That's it.

Top Ten Horror Movie Rules
How to survive in a horror movie?
Ten useful tips:
10. Don't rent an old cabin far away from everything
9. Do not wear skimpy clothing (definitely NO flip-flops, you can't run with them)
8. If you sense something is behind you, don’t bother checking, just run.
7. Don't run upstairs (unless there's a panic room)!
6. Never say “Who’s there?” (Nor hello, Anyone there etc)
5. Do not go search for something in the basement/garage/attic.
4. Never go ANYWHERE alone if there's someone else still alive!
3. Always check the back seat of your car. Always.
2. Never say "I'll be back". You won't.
1. Absolutely no sex (no boobs either)!

A Nice Weekend
I visited my friend L this weekend. We had a bit of girly fun, like farting and playing Wii (yeah, I dragged ours to her place). I love the town she lives in. They've left some of the buildings from 19th and 20th century unlike in my home town, where they've torn down almost everyting older than 1930 and built ugly concrete projects. Her town is not much bigger than this, but it seems like a bigger place. And how polite the people are. The cashiers actually can talk and they are helpful too. Unlike here. I was on good mood the whole weekend despite the high blood pressure that was diagnosed as a migraine, anemia, bi-polar disorder or panic disorder is still quite high. It annoys my to feel and hear my heart beat.
A good weekend ended with a nice dream. I forgot most of it almost instantly, but there was this guy with blonde curly hair, who followed me at a book fair. I noticed him staring, but he didn't turn his eyes away. As I walked away, he followed. I was not bothered. After finding a book about a color (I don't remember what color, maybe it was cirulean blue, but blueish anyway), I read a paragraph. There was a name, which I don't remember. The writer sounded something like Alexander Dumas. While I was reading, he came to me and started talking, like we've known for ages. He started talking about this study. It was about relationships, how people have grown too careful and getting married after nine years is too late, that relationships grow boring if they don't move fast enough. He finished his pedantic talk and then said: I want to be married in ten months. It was, like, he was giving an order rather than just stating something. I blushed. I said: "I'm with someone." He shrugged and said: "No, I didn't mean it like that. We can be, sort of, like friends and not risk your relationship, but we can change the status if you ever feel like it. Now this guy was cute and all, but all I could think about was J, how much he has done for me in good and bad and decided I'd rather be with one I know than possibly go tumbling down. Then he started to appear everywhere and I was soon intrigued and I figured he was too. In the end, I fell in love with him and the rest of the dream is X-rated, but it left me a good feeling.
This dream was apparently effected by Twilight, which I didn't like. It held somewhere inside me, I think, because the whole stare-at-me-follow-stuff was straight from that movie.

Good Luck, Earth
Today the first protons were injected into the 27-kilometre tunnel way below the Earth's surface. Large Hadron Collider started it's work today (if they already didn't in August)..
Will the rumors eventually become the truth? In the worst case scenario, we'll all live for at least ten years. After that, every year is a bonus. You'll have plenty of time to raise a kid, so let's do it today (only low birthrate countries please)! We'll destroy the planet sooner or later anyway so why not in the name of science rather than Russia bombing us to protons anyway?
They should make a movie, with Morgan Freeman doing the credit voiceover: "September 10th, 2008, The Collider was started and slowly and surely the end of days of life on Earth became nearer." The movie should -of course- be called "Armageddon 2" or "The Collider". And If I could choose, I'd name Gillian Anderson as the main scientist, Sigourney Weaver and Harold Ramis as the warning scientists, Tony Shalhoub as the hero dad, Gary Oldman as the other hero dad (and they'd fight over Tony's daughter and Gary's son dating), Megan Fox as the Daughter, Charlie Cox as the son.. The movie would basically be about the love story of a couple in their late teens and the last minutes before the end would start. There would be gunfights, BOINC network calculating how to stop it, scientist fighting, world peace. No riots because everyone would be too afraid, changing weather. Basically, you could put every destroy-the-earth-you-stupid-humans -movie plot in one. Imagine the amount of CGI! Imagine the scientists all over the world stating against the movie.. and the freaky cults... And everyone would go see it! Genious, am I?

Dark Knight
For some reason, I didn't feel the Joker. I just kept seeing that obviously shy young man behind that mask. I saw the moves from hundreds of other films and it left me numb for some reason.
Most of the action sequences and the parts where the movie tried to kept suspension, I predicted everything that would happen, so I was only surprised in one scene - and so was most of the theater. The music was unfortunately subtle, no great feelings or high notes. I expected more from Zimmer - but on the other hand, I've never really liked Howard's production so I guess that's what made the movie lame.
When those things put aside, I can't regret I paid money to see Dark Knight. I liked everyone - even Maggie "Secretary" Gyllenhaal. The action was good enough and the end didn't leave me cold. I'm going to see the movie again this weekend and try to forget Heath Ledger under the Joker suit and only see the Joker.
A good movie. Well done, everyone.

Jessica Alba & Tarzan
I didn't even realize Jessica Alba is of anything else than "white" descent until I read she said "Don't call me latina". I always thought latina is something you call a woman of full latin born parentage, but one can be wrong only for so many times ;)
I saw Silver Surfer today, by the way. How does it seem to me that Chris Evans is not much of an actor? But I suppose good looks override the disability to say your lines without sounding as if you were reading them from a paper.. I don't mind, don't get offended. I've always preferred the talkers in my relationships, but for a guy who looks like that, I wouldn't mind if we couldn't create a decent conversation.
The weather has been weird today. First, it was raining. Then the wind rose. Then it was snowing. Then a blinding sunshine from a clear blue sky, then some more snow and now it's just a clear blue sky again. It should be 20 degrees (centigrade) BELOW and we're getting pollen warnings. How creepy is this?
OH, hey, I just had the brainstorm of my life.
I wish they'd remake Tarzan. The animals - of course - could be CGI.
Jane could be Jessica Alba and Tarzan (of course) Chris Evans. And the voices.. The elephant could be the guy who played opposite Heigl in Knocked up, the chubby one. The panther should be Christopher Lee, the mother could be Queen Latifah and the leader ape could be Robert DeNiro.
Good idea, eh?

Elizabeth: The Golden Age
I went to see this a few days ago.
And I took J with me - a big mistake. Do not take your significant others to watch this movie unless you're sure he likes a girl-flick. Since this is one. The ending was shitty, but I really did like this movie. And I simply love Cate Blanchett. There's really something different in that woman. She's running middle age and is gorgeous. I wish I'd look like that when I get older.
If you like other historical dramas, go see it. It might not be worth your money, but it's worth your time.

Happy New Year
I just remembered my blog :)
Well, I finally gave up on my prejudice and went to see Casino Royale. Well, I didn't like it, really, but I spent the two and a half hours waiting for yet another close-up to see Daniel Craig's eyes. And during every close-up I was like "No one can have eyes like that.." and then "Those can't be his real eyes" and so on and so forth. I missed the whole plot, but who cares. How can all the british men be butt ugly, but have eyes so tempting and so beautiful.. *drool*
Oh and he should have left that bitch drown, really.

My Cast
If I could make a movie about a book from my favorite author, Jean Auel, I would make a movie about Mammoth Hunters, though it is rather boring. It would be of good artistic value and easy to transfer to a script and would allow some special effects and great soap (!). This would be the cast of the main characters: (note all the superfamous people)
Ayla: I guess I should say Daryl Hannah, as she was Ayla in Clan of the Cave Bear, but I would really like to see Deborah Kara Unger play Ayla. I have liked her since she starred in Thirteen. But, as Ayla is - what - barely eighteen, she'd have to look young but have a sort of a Sense of Ancients.. Though she's 24 already, I'd put Jessica Biel into her character. Ayla has to be very fit, so Jessica fills that requirement as well. Her face has something ethereal, she's very beautiful.
Jondalar: As much as I would like to name one of my favorite actors, Ewan McGregor - as Jondalar, I won't do it. Ewan is blonde and blue-eyed, but he has too much smile in his eyes - and Jondalar is sizzling hot (sorry Ewan) and serious. He's the only character I had trouble with. I could've also chosen Gerard Butler, but he's too old too! I also thought about many today's actors, but there's no one to fill up Jondalar's boots. I even went through more than a hundred male models. Then I came across with him: Malte Heininger. They could cut his lines since I bet this cutie pie can't speak more than two words English, but who cares? Or Jondalar could be this equally gorgeous dreamy: Rob Warrington.
Ranec: Chris Rock. I never saw anyone else. He should be sorta handsome, but the fact that Auel emphasizes the smile of Ranec. And Chris Rock seems short and fit...
Frebec: I'd see John Light as Frebec. John Light has always done movies I think are C rather than B, but I like his face. He's overall appearance would match the image I got out of Frebec. He'd also make a good Joharran (Jondalar's brother) if the movie was about the latest book.
Fralie: As her name sounds, something frail.. Kelly McDonald. I remember her from the movie Girl in the cafe (with old-but-gorgeous Bill Nighy). She's cute. And would look great with children.
Nezzie: Where would we find a warm looking woman? Patricia Arquette. She'd have to put a lot weight on, though. I like her, she's great.
Latie: Zooey Deschanel. She'd have to look like a teenager, but with that face I'd say easy as hell. Plus she's pretty. I'd also put her in the role of Folara of the latest Earth's Children book.
Mamut: I would like to see Mamut as a sort of a comic character.. William L Petersen. He's one of the reasons I have seen every single ep of CSI. Twice.
Tulie: Stephanie March. She'd have to puff herself, though.
Talut: Dominic Purcell. He'd have to puff himself a little. And dye his hair red.
Who else would I have to add?
Oh, I'd also have to give a role to Wentworth Miller, of whom I liked very much when he played the lost Nam soldier in Ghost Whisperer.

Anneliese Michel
I saw "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" today. I had hoped for a really creepy one but -again- the trailer promised much more than it really was. The true case of Anneliese Michel seems really interesting, though. Anneliese was the real-life Emily Rose and her story was almost faitfully followed in the movie. Google the name and read about her if you like.
Still aching, but already can sit up straight and walk without limbing. I'm glad. The driver of the car has phoned me to ask me if I'm okay. It's nice that he's more worried than any of my friends. One didn't even call when I told him I got hit by a car. That's nice - tells a lot about the level of friendship.
Have to feed the pet. Now.

Monday
Do you think there're people on other planets?
"The Universe is a pretty big place... And the one thing I know about nature is it hates to waste anything. So I guess I'd say if it is just us, an awful lot of space is going to waste."
The movie Contact is one of my favorites for a long time. I read the script today just to spend my time between calls to the doctor. I've had this weirdy lump in my belly and on friday it started to hurt. I mean really hurt. So I went to the doctor's today and they didn't get an appointment. Their "books were full". I got an appointment on 21th September and 'til then I've just going to have to wait. What if my appendix decides to blow up in the mean time? Am I going to die? Some have died while waiting.
It's silly, I know. Only a few die. But anyway.
Gives me the creeps.
After our break- up two weeks ago, we've been trying to cope. I can't help it, though, that I keep having break-up -dreams night after night and I've been thinking if it would have been better for me to just take the first available apartment and get my butt out of his life for good.
I heard such things about his mind and the things he does, that I couldn't believe what I was hearing. That reminded me of how little we know about each other anyways. Well, what I know about him, mainly. I tell him everything - I even showed him this blog but he just kept letting me outside. Maybe that was the problem anyways. I've given him a 100% of my being and I don't even know how much he's given me.
It seems like an awful waste of time.
" I was given something wonderful.
Something that changed me. A vision
of the universe that made it
overwhelmingly clear just how tiny
and insignificant -- and at the same
time how rare and precious we all
are. A vision... that tells us we
belong to something greater than
ourselves... that we're not -- that
none of us -- is alone."

are. A vision... that tells us we
belong to something greater than
ourselves... that we're not -- that
none of us -- is alone."

Phantom
Today I spent a few hours watching a movie called The Phantom of the Opera. Then I watched it again. And again. I didn't like the way Gerry sings most of the time, but he - even with a tormented face - looks heavenly good. The music is so beautiful and the end scene made me cry. Haha. I seem to be crying very often nowadays. I liked it very much and am ashamed I didn't go to the movies to see it to view it on big screen. There's one more thing: I can never go see it in the opera. For me, phantom's face will always be Gerry's.
The best part is when Christine is forced to make a choice between the Phantom and Raoul. She sings: "Angel of music" with such a feeling...
Pitiful creature of darkness
What kind of life have you known ?
God give me courage
to show you
you are not alone

Tuesday
Something Stupid..
Today is the international Women's Day. Well, J didn't remember it - he never remembers anything. He didn't even remember we have been together for four years, not three, as he told his cousin who lives in California. At least he knows when it's my birthday.
I've been playing the Sims 2 for the whole last week. I didn't even go out as I had fever almost every day. So I've been more or less sick for three weeks now. Last night I had fever too, but I decided to come to school today anyway. The reason? The cutest teacher I've ever seen. He's not really THAT goodlooking, but he has a speech defect. He cannot say the letters "r" and "s" properly, but I think that's the fact that makes him so cute. And it makes people to listen to what he says. That's not a good reason to attend classes, but hey - at least I'm here. AND forgot to take my assignment with me.
Oh, went to see Constantine. Great movie, lots of fun. All the reviews were about it sucking hard, but I simply loved it! I had to see it twice, though I don't like Rachel Weisz). And Keanu Reeves still looks hot. HOT. HOT!
