Today the first protons were injected into the 27-kilometre tunnel way below the Earth's surface. Large Hadron Collider started it's work today (if they already didn't in August)..
Will the rumors eventually become the truth? In the worst case scenario, we'll all live for at least ten years. After that, every year is a bonus. You'll have plenty of time to raise a kid, so let's do it today (only low birthrate countries please)! We'll destroy the planet sooner or later anyway so why not in the name of science rather than Russia bombing us to protons anyway?
They should make a movie, with Morgan Freeman doing the credit voiceover: "September 10th, 2008, The Collider was started and slowly and surely the end of days of life on Earth became nearer." The movie should -of course- be called "Armageddon 2" or "The Collider". And If I could choose, I'd name Gillian Anderson as the main scientist, Sigourney Weaver and Harold Ramis as the warning scientists, Tony Shalhoub as the hero dad, Gary Oldman as the other hero dad (and they'd fight over Tony's daughter and Gary's son dating), Megan Fox as the Daughter, Charlie Cox as the son.. The movie would basically be about the love story of a couple in their late teens and the last minutes before the end would start. There would be gunfights, BOINC network calculating how to stop it, scientist fighting, world peace. No riots because everyone would be too afraid, changing weather. Basically, you could put every destroy-the-earth-you-stupid-humans -movie plot in one. Imagine the amount of CGI! Imagine the scientists all over the world stating against the movie.. and the freaky cults... And everyone would go see it! Genious, am I?
When people were made, there were some pieces left - enough to make one more person. That's me. I'm leftovers.

Most Bizarre Dream..
I had a dream about Colin Farrel. It wasn't a typical love dream for me, but a wee weird one. Unlike the pics and videos what we usually see everywhere, he was very kind, spoke softly and looked at me in such a way..
We were at his house (one my mind productions of course). The house was very modern, furnished minimally and it was full of light. We were somewhere close to the ocean since I could hear the waves.
I was leaving him (!! Who would leave Colin Farrell anyway?) and he was sad and sort of disappointed. He looked at me in such a way I can't even describe. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen that face in any of his movies or pics, so it must be one of my mind productions. It broke my heart. I just told him that he's too famous and I don't like his "showing off" and I wish he'd go back the way he used to be.
I woke up and was - once again, like - is this planet Earth?

Pro Life or Pro Choice
In short: I'm Pro Life with Choice
But I'm not rubbing it to your face. Every woman has her right. Ever since I've been a teenager, I've know I'd put my baby up for adoption if I would get knocked up. Besides, I've always been careful enough to keep myself clean from The Pill and STD's. Financially it would be safe to be a teenage mother in this country, you'd only need some some humble attitude and strong will, so being a teenager in this country, would not be a reason.
If I got knocked up by a one night stand, I'd go Life & Adoption..
If I got knocked up in an abusive relationship, I'd go Life & Adoption..
If I got raped, I'd still go Life & Adoption.. It wouldn't be my or the baby's fault.
If I had no money to support myself, I'd go Life & Adoption..
If my baby would have something wrong, I'd go Choice. The only time I'd go choice. A life lived only half or without knowing who you are, unable to ask and unable to understand is not a life. A life lived as a burden to other people would not be a life.
The reason for this post is the numerous sites each defending their own side.
I found a site dedicated to a law that would force abortion agencies to let the parents of a minor know. The site introduced tens of calls to Planned Parenthood in which a voice altered "teen" called to check if they would offer her abortion allthough her "boyfriend" was 22 (In the US, it's called a statutory rape). The only thing I learned from those tapes was that most of the ones who worked on that line didn't know about that law or were too bored in their job to actually listen to the caller. I found a site with horrible pictures of aborted fetuses. I found a site claiming that anonymous abortion on a clinic without parents knowing is much better than butcher abortions (I agree).. A few girls die over septicemia or some complication, but that is almost always the result of their own actions. It's like taking a vacation in Iraq: Lot's of sun and sand, but you might end up dead any day. If you're ready to have sex, you're ready to suffer the consequences and it might include a death. You might have HIV instead of a child, would like that? Decisions, decisions...
So, I'm pro life with Choice and Let Others Choose Their Side.

Bad Russia, BAD!
Well, apparently our friends the Russians decided to attack Georgia. Unlike what CNN has heard from Georgian officials, it is NOT like Russia attacking Finland in 1939. When Russia attacked Finland, they underestimated the will of the Finns and sent too few troops. Now they can finish the war by using nukes and send no troops at all.
The Georgian's claim that they are the innocent counterpart here and compare themselves to Finland "as a small country". Now, I dont' know much about the situation in Georgia, but this much I know: War is always bad and it should be judged by every other country in the world. Georgia moved its troops closer to its boards not to attack Russia but resolve an issue - and Russia answered. Do they really think Georgia would bother to attack Russia? It's the second biggest country in the world FFS!

USA, IF you want to set up a missile shield or at least a military base somewhere in Finland, I won't object, you got my vote. I don't stay in Finland, but I'm still a citizen. I'd rather be in it with you, USA, than be oppressed by the Russians - again!
