Aaaw, I just noticed there are so many yellow leaves already! That means the summer is gone, though I'm pretty sure it's still warm outside. I haven't been properly out for a week or two; I've gone out for groceries, not really for anything else. Been mostly playing Fallout 3 or Civ IV.
We have a new parrot, an agapornis roseicollis, and she's making my nerves crack. I'm not her numero uno human, and she's so letting me know I'm not the IT person for her. She sings very prettily, but tends to do these terrible screeks in the morning, if I don't go and turn the radio on for her. She's pretty, yellow and red and bites hard. How do you teach a bird not to bite you, anyway? You can't push her away not to make her fear your hand. She doesn't understand yelling at her.. There are days when I wish J woudn't have taken her at all, but most days she just keeps melting my heart over and over again.
For all my life, I have written these short stories, nothing fancy and more teen stuff than grown up stuff. I did this one story, over 70 pages and decided it was too crappy. Now I have a writer's block and it's killing me. I get nothing out. I wish I was natural, that words just came out me.. but nothing. I'm worthless, talentless and ugly. What more could go wrong?
I have applied for 23 positions in the last three weeks. Three replies, one interview, no job. I'm starting to hate this unemployment. Every month without a job makes the chance of getting work go further.
When people were made, there were some pieces left - enough to make one more person. That's me. I'm leftovers.

The Cab - One Of THOSE Days
Holy poo their album version of "One Of THOSE Days" sucks.
I heard the song when playing Rock Band and I was so disappointed at the album version I've been trashing the album to anyone who cares to listen to my ramblings.
Do NOT buy the album because of that song if you liked the one in Rock Band. You'll save some money.
I still haven't played it Medium Guitar 100%. I Suck.

How To Spend Your Two First Days Of The Year
After playing 18 hours of "Frets on Fire X" for two days, I'm still up to it. It doesn't matter that I play on easy. Metallica's One still kills me on easy. An excellent way to spend the first couple of days of your year. And yes, XBOX360 and PS2 guitars work well with this. I wonder how long it takes for the FoFX team to get sued by Activision or Harmonix.
BTW: After hearing Joe Satriani's If I could fly for the 20th time, it still doesn't annoy me.
After 98 hours of gameplay of Fallout 3 and third time playing since 22nd December, I'm still hooked. I don't understand why.
Happy this year and good luck with your life this year.

Snow's Gone
The temperature is up to +4. The snow is almost gone. There's soft wind and sunshine. It used to be -15 this time of the year. So I guess winter's gone too. Greenhouse effect, anyone?
I'm cold.
Oh and I had the weirdest nightmare EVER! I don't remember much anymore since I've been up for eight hours now, but I remember the bit where there were worms in my veins and I cut little cuts and squeezed them out of me. I woke up itching, so I took a three-hour bath and changed the sheets. I have been watching some scary movies, but I skipped all the gory ones. I think the movies are not to blamed for this dream. I think it's Trauma Center - Second Opinion, which I've been playing on Wii. There's an operation where you have to make small cuts in order to get some nasty things out of a patient. I hate that game.
Speaking of games, We have bought only a few games for our Wii: Resident Evil 4, Raving Rabbids and Raving Rabbids TV Party, Fit and Sports. I love Raving Rabbids, I've had some of my best laughs playing Raving Rabbids 2 that we borrowed from one of J's friends. The balance board has been my favorite since I realized how to work my balance. Tip: Don't bother with the yoga, it will only make you frustrated or feel inadequate. Besides, Fit's Age calculator sucks. My body is 21 years old in it's opinion.

Travian
Currently I'm playing Travian. I'm quite hooked on it, so this might be a little longer project than I first believed it could be..
I'm currently playing on four different servers in three different languages and just might want to start a game on a French server, though my skills on that language are rather vague.
I made my first hack to sims 2. I changed the Mystery Sim memory to "I met Jamie" and made a nice little icon to that.. The name Jamie can be used on male and a female, so it saved me a lot of trouble to try to bind names to certain sex. And sims can be gay too, so that would add just too much trouble.
I'm off to bed now. I've been sitting on the computer for two whole days (because of the heavy rain we're getting and going out is a call for flu) and I have slept five hours in the last 46 hours. I'm feeling - drunk - for some reason.

A little confession...
I have to say that there was one thing about the new version of the movie Pride and Prejudice I liked. It was just a moment when Lizzie and Mr. Darcy are fighting in the rain - when Darcy is actually trying to propose and Lizzie lets him know what kind of a man she thinks he is. The moment is almost about to end to a kiss but I guess in those times kissing wasn't supposed to happen until the permission from the church.. But the fact that the kiss doesn't happen is the thing that makes me like that scene. I wish that whoever-she-is wasn't Lizzie, because I liked the BBC version Lizzie more and this one has weird, too big eyes and a jawline I've never seen on a woman. She's weird.
There is one other movie that has the same kind of effect. The almost-kiss happens also in Identity. I guess I like the tension in those moments and find myself happier when nothing happens and lets the imagination run the rest of the story.
Those things help me sleep.
Unlike the fact that I played Natural Selection for the whole weekend, more than 10 hours a day. I hunted aliens in my dreams.
That's the reason I didn't make it to school in time.

So Beautiful
Dang.
Enough Natural Selection for me. I had a dream last night about my iguana xenosiding.
I was trying to do some school stuff last night (the day before due date of course) and I ended up downloading some mp3's. I came across with a song that just made me stop for awhile. Maybe it was about the frustration (WHY the hell can't Access support real SQL but the weirdy version of Microsoft?) or the fact that it was almost 4 am, but when I heard the song it just made tears rolling down my face. It was something so beautiful and I can't understand the weak moment I had.
Well, I guess I'll go and buy the whole album.
And I also found an excellent trance anthem: Sash - Together Again (Perfection Trance Remix 2005)
The lyrics of the tune of the day really don't mean that much, but the way that dude sings just makes my heart melt down.
The tune of today:
Lifehouse - Into the Sun
I never meant to let you go
Why did I leave maybe we'll never know
But I'm a man now broken on the ground
I'm in need and I think that it shows
All this time we're going nowhere and we know it
I was so blind
All the lights are leading to where you're going
I'm not far behind
And now we're running into the sun
Getting close to something into the sun
You know that we're falling
We're falling back into the sun

Silly Me
Lately I've been playing NS so much I can hear the jetpack sound even when the game isn't on. Plus: I had another dream about Josh Hartnett. Funny, eh? And I've seen this dream before - but unlike my usual self - I didn't try to change the plot.
I'm not sure if I have talked about this before, but I have a tendency to re-see a dream and understand I'm dreaming - thus being able to interfere. Like that vampire dream I used to have. The first time I was having that dream I tried to run away and woke up screaming when I was drained. The next time I suddenly had the idea of flying ("hey, this is a dream, what if I flew instead of running"). The third time I decided that I had a bag, which contained a gun loaded with daylight bullets.
This J H dream I had last night was about us trying to find a place to get a minute together - just the two of us. Everybody had something to talk to us and all the rooms were taken or forbidden. I woke up all confused - mainly thinking that WHY the hell didn't I do something, that was fucking Josh Hartnett. Isn't he the boy next door?
I'm crazy, aren't I?
Oh, and we couldn't take the girl iguana - our ig tried to have her leg for dinner. She went to the capital city to a family that has a turtle farm. She'll be happy there.
