I've been working on one thing for over a year now. It's a silly little thing, and it sucks, but still I keep writing it. The people have grown to be like friends, and it's weird to stop writing it every day when J returns home. It's funny that writing it, I'm somewhere else, among different people, and I'm different, and when I return back to my own life, I'm frustrated. It's a stupid love story, a triangle, trashy, like the ones you buy for a flight and then throw away.
I write it in English, and I know I shouldn't, because I write better in my own language. But some things are better said in English.
So, about the block. It's not that I cannot write anything, it's that I have too much. I write different scenes, I call them scenes. Then I decide they're too much, or too stupid, and destroy them. I've written 200 pages and destroyed 120.
And I can't read books anymore. I see a beautiful description, and I want to copy it. Plagiate, if you will.
When people were made, there were some pieces left - enough to make one more person. That's me. I'm leftovers.

I Want To Lick Neil Gaiman's Mind
.. to see if it's salty or sweet.
I loved Coraline as a movie, now I only have to get it as a book.
I have Neil Gaiman reading Stardust, Anansi Boys and Graveyard Book, audiobooks. I just love them and keep listening then over and over again!

I Want Graveyard Book - The Movie
When listening to (yes, I'm addicted to audio books - nothing beats playing Fallout 3 & listening to books) The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, I formed this image in my head even though Neil Jordan has been assigned to write & direct a movie of the book:
The Graveyard Book - The Movie
Directed by Tim Burton
Produced by Danny Boyle / Edgar Wright.
Starring:
Liam Broggy as young Bod
Alex Pettyfer as late teen Bod
Gary Oldman as Silas
Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Lupescu
Emma Roberts as Lisa Hempstock
Sophie Wu as teen Scarlett Amber Perkins
Tim Kang as The Man Jack
Toby Stephens as Mr Owens
Rae Ritke as Mrs Owens
Kevin McKidd as Caius Pompeius
But, I guess we'll be seeing a crappy shitmovie that will spoil the book.

I Sleep With Neil Gaiman
I managed to get my hands on an unabridged recording of Stardust, written and read by Neil Gaiman. After that I haven't had trouble sleeping.
No, it's not boring. I just like his voice. It's soothing. Calm.
I've heard first 30 minutes of Stardust at least 20 times.
I think I like audiobooks. You can't miss a word or where you were. You just pause and go on again.
And the hands-free stuff with audiobooks, wow. I've learned to knit. :)
It's time for me and Neil Gaiman to go to bed. Nites.

Harry Pothead Audiobook
I've been listening to Harry Potter audiobooks since I'm too lazy to read them. I don't remember which production I read, but I actually do like the reader. Tim something his name was, I suppose.
Listening to audiobooks lets you do all kinds of nice stuff. Like knitting a scarf. I actually made one, but I won't be using it since the result was something ugly. I haven't been knitting since junior high school, so the little skill I have has gone worse. Knitting, for sure, is nothing close to riding a bike.
Back to the Pothead books.. I have noticed that Rowling likes the descriptive word "beaming" a lot and used it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. I've become to dislike the word.
Also, couldn't she have given Harry ONE good book. One that the nasty Slytherin bastard wouldn't be all over him or someone hurting, being sacked or something like that. Bad news suck, and six books of sucky news is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
Please, Mrs. Murray (or what the hack Rowlings' name is nowadays), make the last HP at least somehow satisfying. Or kill him. Something new than the same pattern in every book. Or at least make Malfoy either go nuts or end up dead. Thanks.
