I'll be thinking about three people in particular. Of course I'll try to spend a moment thinking about anyone who's ever been someone to me, but the three people who have affected me the most since last Christmas are in my thoughts today. A, for being there in my dreams and making most nights so precious that daylight seems unimportant, and even garish. C for being the driving force in my novel writing by just being alive, and a certain J, who deserves more than I'm able to give and be.
Merry Christmas to every Christian in the world. May you be able to celebrate this day without having to be afraid of your lives.

A Note To A Sick One
Hi,
I'm sorry you got sick. I don't know what caused it but I know I'm one of the reasons. I know we have a lot of microbes that itch, burn and cause sickness, but you had the biggest and deadliest.
So, you will die. We, all of us, tend to hope you'll know when it comes and you'll try to fix yourself on your own, but I'm afraid you can't. Not as long as the people around you won't do anything to help.
You're so beautiful. From the outside you're perfect. There are some marks of hard existence on your surface, but that only makes me like you even more. You're the only round one people will never call fat :)
You're my mother, my father, the giver of life. I'm sorry your life is at an end - too soon to be called fair. I was hoping it wasn't a sickness caused by people but something that couldn't be changed. And here it is, after so many years, it has caught you.

If Yellowstone Goes..
I wonder if this late Yellowstone activity I'm sorry it's North America that will suffer mostly. All of us will get our butts freezed, but a lot of people - And ANIMALS - will suffer. Why can't that volcano be somewhere in the deserts of a nation that I wouldn't be sorry losing?
If Yellowstone decides to blow up, I'd be more than happy to welcome everyone with ties to my country to stay here if any of us survive. It would be cold, but there is solid granite underneath the toes.

I Support Israel
It's been going on for most of the "civilized" world and it will end only if the other side is gone forever. After Arafat died, it's gone to dogs and it's come to this, so this is it.
War is never good and will only result in deaths (what I actually find refreshing knowing the state Earth is in). A friend of mine said he wouldn't feel sorry even for the children that would die "because they're been brainwashed since infancy". I must agree, I'm sorry to say. I'm against every religion and especially mixing your children with all that nonsense, so this isn't even racist talk.
The only guilty ones in Gaza and surrounding area are the ones who say "god wills it (in any language)". The others just get caught in the middle and will suffer.
If a side must be chosen, I choose Israel. They (or most of them) at least, have learned to not to say "god wills it" and have tried to work out some kind of a peace.

The Day The Earth Stood Still
I just love one-face-Keanu. Though in DESS it was justified, he is an alien and everything, I believe he's overbotoxed himself.
I had to whisper: "Wake up, Neo" at a certain point in the movie...
The movie: I thought I liked the movie until we got to the part where the Disney shit started, you know the *sob* I miss dad *sob* me too *sob shit*. Only US flag waving could have made the film worse. I hated the kid (Will Smith: Your kid is terrible, do him a favor and quit pushing him towards film career, he'll be in rehab in less than ten years anyway) from the get-go and when he called the authorties on Kleetus whereabouts, I was past anger. Made me realize why I hate kids and their way of thinking.. The graveyard (over-sappy shit) scene made me frustrated and I wanted to leave the theater, but thought I might was well let J finish it, though he wasn't pleased either. I'm sorry but this movie was sort of, like Disney meets Neo. The Disney part was the I-thought-you-thought-broken-relationship between the step mom and the annoying brat. I kept hoping the woman would give a good bitch slap to the boy and ditch him. How cruel of me.
One good thing: I almost cried when the spheres started gathering animals, saving the ones who weren't to blame. Another good thing: I almost cried when the woman understands Kleetu is here to save life on earth but not humans. We would deserve it. A disease that would wipe most of the population. Interstellar intervention. Anything that would give us a lesson...
The thing is.. I don't think we'd learn.

Today the first protons were injected into the 27-kilometre tunnel way below the Earth's surface. Large Hadron Collider started it's work today (if they already didn't in August)..
Will the rumors eventually become the truth? In the worst case scenario, we'll all live for at least ten years. After that, every year is a bonus. You'll have plenty of time to raise a kid, so let's do it today (only low birthrate countries please)! We'll destroy the planet sooner or later anyway so why not in the name of science rather than Russia bombing us to protons anyway?
They should make a movie, with Morgan Freeman doing the credit voiceover: "September 10th, 2008, The Collider was started and slowly and surely the end of days of life on Earth became nearer." The movie should -of course- be called "Armageddon 2" or "The Collider". And If I could choose, I'd name Gillian Anderson as the main scientist, Sigourney Weaver and Harold Ramis as the warning scientists, Tony Shalhoub as the hero dad, Gary Oldman as the other hero dad (and they'd fight over Tony's daughter and Gary's son dating), Megan Fox as the Daughter, Charlie Cox as the son.. The movie would basically be about the love story of a couple in their late teens and the last minutes before the end would start. There would be gunfights, BOINC network calculating how to stop it, scientist fighting, world peace. No riots because everyone would be too afraid, changing weather. Basically, you could put every destroy-the-earth-you-stupid-humans -movie plot in one. Imagine the amount of CGI! Imagine the scientists all over the world stating against the movie.. and the freaky cults... And everyone would go see it! Genious, am I?

I'm sorry that I suck so much that all I find in this - what most people call tragedy - is the relief for the Earth. Take those 200 000 people in China and Myanmar that will die because of this chain of natural events and make three children for each of them. That makes 600 000 more people on Earth. Three children for each of them and in twenty years 1 800 000. And so on and so forth.
I do value a human life, but I value it so much I want to keep it for generations to come, that's why I'm glad so many people die. Nearly a million people worldwide die by suicide annually. Give them 2 million children and them 2 million children.. The Earth is at it's boundaries and these things only relief it for awhile.
I remember one economist friend of mine once said that birth rate in every country should be less than 7.45 births/1,000 population so there would be tax payers for the future AND the Earth would survive. In China, the rate is 13.45 births/1,000 population and in Niger, the rate is 48.95. Notice, that the top 20 of birth rate countries are the ones that receive most part of the foreign relief.

If you really, really, really think about it, doesn't it make you feel unworthy and small to know that all the stones you see, have been here thousands of years before you and will continue to be after you? Some turtles outlive two humans. Cockroaches are the likely survivors of nuclear war.
The journey to Proxima Centauri (Aka Alpha Centauri C) - the nearest star outside our solar system - would take 160 000 years using the Space Shuttle. In comparison, in 1997 Paleontologists found the so-far oldest fossilized remains of modern humans, the portions of skulls belonging to people who lived 160,000 years ago. Proxima Centauri can't even theoretically support life. The closest sun-like planet is Alpha in the Centauri Triple-Starlet and it's a bit older than ours and if it had an Earth-like planet hanging around it, they'd be at least million years ahead of us in life (or in destruction). This is a little table I found circling in the intahweb:

Human - Kind?
I was just wondering..
The dead uncle is still dead, by the way. Everyone's gone nuts.
Anyway, yesterday I realized that something has to be done. I remember thinking that the US went to Irak just to gain power over the oil. Now that Iran is giving the rest of the world all the threats it can possibly give, I wonder if some of the hipocrisy so many people had (when they kept whining about their sons getting killed in Irak) will eventually crumble down? And I also take back some good words I've talked for the brave people of China. 'Cause they're backing up Iran. Please, US and GB, please GO TO IRAN, together, and do something they do. Offense Is the Best Defense and all the bullcrap... I don't give a fuck if innocent people die, 'cause most of the people there are brainwashed to believe all the bullshit they've been fed by their government. And when we were in war, a lot of innocent people died. Innocent people have died ever since the dawn of people and will continue to die.. Disabling their army isn't good enough, because their children will grow up and build new armies, they have to be controlled by someone who can respect their culture, but still keep them in leash. I usually don't appreciate the US and its fellows, but I wish that they'd do something. And not just them, I hope that France (like those pussies ever got the balls to do anything), Russia and China would go there too.
Now, I'm not trying to lift Iran-opposing thoughts, everyone has or doesn't have an opinion - this is mine. I'm only concerned about the planet. Everyone has seen what damage nukes can do and I don't want that to happen to my favorite planet - the only one we can live on, if some of you have forgotten..

I'd like the humankind to destroy itself - but without doing any harm for the other living things here. Nukes will destroy all life, so that's not the thing - but I still keep hoping for AIDS and the avian influenza to do the trick. Or ebola.. or the third global ice age..

Getting Lazy
This following text is a product of my thoughts and do NOT represent the thoughts of the people in my country nor its government:
I've come to the conclusion that the better my life goes the less I whine here which means I "blog" only sometimes.
There are three things in the world today.. three little things that piss me off:
1. The "lost world" they recently discovered somewhere in Indonesia. I bet than in six months the place is ruined by the rich people who want different kinds of house plants or unique pets. And dear reader, money gets you anywhere. It's beautiful, untouched, unpopulated forest; there's no evidence of human impact. There are no trails up there, but I bet in a year you'd find a "decent" road. The worst part of this otherwise happy event is that some of the creatures the team came into contact with were unafraid of humans. The team says it did not have time to survey the area completely and they intend to return later in the year. They also say it's within a protected zone. Bah, I say! I wish that place had never been found. It kills me to see the state this poor little ball of ours is heading to.
2. The offensive pictures that have hurt the muslim people. Geez, those were not even bad! I've seen worse! Most of the people who thought of it as an offense were people who are VISITORS in that (and the "western") countr(y)(ies). What gives them the right to cause trouble? Besides, they do much more damage that a few pictures that aren't even funny (nor offensive). I'm not a religious person so I don't understand the fuzz. I wish they'd make nuclear weapons and blow themselves in the air (no.. wait.. they don't even need nuclear bombs for that..) I believe that the less people being able to make a fuzz about little things. They say that their religion is the only pure one. What religion lets people kill other people! And I'm not talking only about islam. And yes, without being a racist or anything close to that I'll state my opinion and it is that THEY are the troublemakers. I'm sorry to not to be brainwashed by any religious bullshit, but that's really my opinion. It's funny that a fable (and religions are fables that we have learned) can do so much trouble. I was raised christian, but I've somehow ended up with the thought that religion itself is the deepest evil humans have produced. Look what the people before us have done when "God" or "Allah" has told them to do something "for the greater good". Where the hell did they drop all the values of human life? When did that happen? Why do we "need" religions?
Don't you friggin' stupid people understand that there's no life after death, no ghosts, no soul. We are just hairless monkeys and we die and rot the same as all the other animals. There's nothing else to it. You just rot. There is no heaven or hell, no place for the good nor the bad. Nothing. When you die, that's just it. Get over your stupid prophecies about the judgement day and the rest of the bullshit you've been fed with all your life!
3. The Avian Influenza. I'm sorry to be so harsh on some unfortunate people (because yes, I do consider myself fortunate for living in a country with decent medical services), but I'd be glad it it killed at least half a billion people around the world. Actually the world would be a rather happy place if the influenza would manage to kill TWO billion in the areas the birth rate is at the highest. Why do they make children when they obviously can't feed them? I'd like to have kids one day, but I won't be makin' them as long as I can't afford to feed them. All these countries depend on international help but won't do anything to help themselves. Just whine. And make more kids (to secure their elder life). HA! Charity and helping are good things but some of the countries (like mine) are in trouble themselves. I'd say let's help ourselves first and then help the others. Think about the diseases that ran on this planet before - or the wars. . Imagine the amount of people the millions of people (who died) would have produced if nature didn't give a little helping hand or someone else... And the amount they'd produce.. and so on and so forth. Do a little math.. And remember to thank the Chinese people who finally understood the damage overpopulation would do to their country and the people, not forgetting about the economy. Now they are really smart people.
By the way - how can it be that the people in Africa, where human life is supposed to be originated - are starving when there has been life and learning human beings for much longer than up here? I just don't understand how it can be possible - the fact that our little country that has had life for a couple of thousand years is doing better than the ones that have had life for 30 000? I just have a lot of (stupid) questions and thoughts and can't find the answer.
Don't get me wrong, I value all life on Earth despite the different looks and different kind of brainwashing people have received in their early years. I'm just terribly worried. Mostly about the planet itself. I hope that the avian influenza would be the solution of overpopulation - the main cause for all the trouble we're going to be in a few years.
And remember, dear reader, these thoughts are mine and are a result of one kind of a brainwashing. So don't do as SOME have done about a few stupid pictures, eh?
I've come to the conclusion that the better my life goes the less I whine here which means I "blog" only sometimes.
There are three things in the world today.. three little things that piss me off:
1. The "lost world" they recently discovered somewhere in Indonesia. I bet than in six months the place is ruined by the rich people who want different kinds of house plants or unique pets. And dear reader, money gets you anywhere. It's beautiful, untouched, unpopulated forest; there's no evidence of human impact. There are no trails up there, but I bet in a year you'd find a "decent" road. The worst part of this otherwise happy event is that some of the creatures the team came into contact with were unafraid of humans. The team says it did not have time to survey the area completely and they intend to return later in the year. They also say it's within a protected zone. Bah, I say! I wish that place had never been found. It kills me to see the state this poor little ball of ours is heading to.
2. The offensive pictures that have hurt the muslim people. Geez, those were not even bad! I've seen worse! Most of the people who thought of it as an offense were people who are VISITORS in that (and the "western") countr(y)(ies). What gives them the right to cause trouble? Besides, they do much more damage that a few pictures that aren't even funny (nor offensive). I'm not a religious person so I don't understand the fuzz. I wish they'd make nuclear weapons and blow themselves in the air (no.. wait.. they don't even need nuclear bombs for that..) I believe that the less people being able to make a fuzz about little things. They say that their religion is the only pure one. What religion lets people kill other people! And I'm not talking only about islam. And yes, without being a racist or anything close to that I'll state my opinion and it is that THEY are the troublemakers. I'm sorry to not to be brainwashed by any religious bullshit, but that's really my opinion. It's funny that a fable (and religions are fables that we have learned) can do so much trouble. I was raised christian, but I've somehow ended up with the thought that religion itself is the deepest evil humans have produced. Look what the people before us have done when "God" or "Allah" has told them to do something "for the greater good". Where the hell did they drop all the values of human life? When did that happen? Why do we "need" religions?
Don't you friggin' stupid people understand that there's no life after death, no ghosts, no soul. We are just hairless monkeys and we die and rot the same as all the other animals. There's nothing else to it. You just rot. There is no heaven or hell, no place for the good nor the bad. Nothing. When you die, that's just it. Get over your stupid prophecies about the judgement day and the rest of the bullshit you've been fed with all your life!
3. The Avian Influenza. I'm sorry to be so harsh on some unfortunate people (because yes, I do consider myself fortunate for living in a country with decent medical services), but I'd be glad it it killed at least half a billion people around the world. Actually the world would be a rather happy place if the influenza would manage to kill TWO billion in the areas the birth rate is at the highest. Why do they make children when they obviously can't feed them? I'd like to have kids one day, but I won't be makin' them as long as I can't afford to feed them. All these countries depend on international help but won't do anything to help themselves. Just whine. And make more kids (to secure their elder life). HA! Charity and helping are good things but some of the countries (like mine) are in trouble themselves. I'd say let's help ourselves first and then help the others. Think about the diseases that ran on this planet before - or the wars. . Imagine the amount of people the millions of people (who died) would have produced if nature didn't give a little helping hand or someone else... And the amount they'd produce.. and so on and so forth. Do a little math.. And remember to thank the Chinese people who finally understood the damage overpopulation would do to their country and the people, not forgetting about the economy. Now they are really smart people.
By the way - how can it be that the people in Africa, where human life is supposed to be originated - are starving when there has been life and learning human beings for much longer than up here? I just don't understand how it can be possible - the fact that our little country that has had life for a couple of thousand years is doing better than the ones that have had life for 30 000? Another Hurricane

Nature gets really back at the US for polluting, destroying and a million other things the government and people of the US have decided for their own good. I'm glad. Maybe this will teach the all-mighty-USA-people (I know they call themselves "americans" but so are the others who live on the two continent - so I'm not using it) a lesson they should remember for a couple of years. Does anyone remember how big they made 911? In the end it was just a series of stupid ignorance cased that led to to the destruction of the twin towers. That killed some firemen (I'm sure their relatives knew that being a fireman would carry a risk of death) and other people. So the fucking what? The whole 911 incident was about the Pentagon being a bunch of dumb asses.
What's funny about war and stuff is the fact that in the end there's a person that's getting all the blame. Take Bush for instance, he signs the forms his crew does and gives the final word, but he is - nevertheless - just one guy. Go ahead, people of US, blame Bush if that makes you feel better. But if all of the people in the US would state what they think and act what they think, he wouldn't be there giving those orders but there would be someone else. There's always got to be someone else to blame. All the 255 million (or whatever) people in the US could state "we just want to stay here and try not to rule the whole world". So stop whining if you get something back sometimes - whether it's nature or some other country trying to take the highest rank in the world.
US, deal with your own problems, such as the tens of thousands of homeless people, the crime rates, your financial situation, the kids in foster care, the healthcare system and get your own people happy with the money that's in the country and THEN go and try to rule the world, ok?
I'm so sick and tired hearing news in my own country - cuz the news is mainly about the closing hurricane Rita. I don't fuckin' care! I will NOT donate, I will not feel sorry and I hope no one else will too. Check your fucking front yard people. There are SUVs and sports cars, you like it big. That's your own fault that you need as much oil as you do because you drive big cars that need a lot of fuel to keep going. You and your SUV's "for the carpools and taking the kids to their hobbies". Take a look at your own country.
My fellow countrymen are so suckers for everything that comes from North America that it makes me sick! I hate it when little white boys dress like hip-hop stars and speak bad English just to look cool. Mostly the result is the opposite: not cool. I hate the teenage girls who think that the fact - that they get free and good education, free school meals to senior high school, free college - everyone has the opportunity here. The government gives as much as 600 dollars a month just for them to stay in school - is not enough, they want to go to "america" and be fucking supermodels. We can go to the doctor and pay 18 dollars three times a year and they can go as much as they like. If my people goes to dentist, they can either choose the public dentists that goes with the three-time-yearly-pay or private dentist which costs a lot - but the government returns some at least 75 % of the paid amount.
We have high taxes and low wages, but we don't have to pay our brains out if we get sick. We get cuts in our benefits, but the people in my country don't whine - not out loud at least - because we know we have chosen the ones who decide the budget and the cuts that are made.
US earns - what - like a million times more than my little country and they still cannot afford to teach their own people. They can afford war.
And why the hell are you whining "for the lost soldiers in Iraq"?! The people who join the military have to understand that one day they could end up in the middle of front line. Why their families whine for the decicions the soldiers have made? I couldn't care a shit about a soldier abroad, because they have chosen their career. I do computers, they do guns, that's it. And remember, whiners, you could have a word, all you 100 million brainwashed flag worshippers.
I just went for the doctor today. She checked me and told me she wanted me to go to an ultrasound scan for the weird bumb in my belly. That visit cost me 18 dollars. Nothing else. I don't need to pay for the scan, I don't need to pay for further visits this year and what's best, I don't need to beg for charity. Everything in the US seems to be either insurance or charity. Here I know that once I've finished my education I'll go back to work and pay for someone else in my turn. If we go to war we're mostly done because our little country cannot afford self defence. We have 60 fighter planes, tanks and a small army but that wouldn't keep the US out of here for more than a few minutes if they decided that they wanted this land. But I can sleep my nights in peace. There is no point in anyone invading my homeland because we have nothing here, just fields, lakes and hills. No natural resources like oil.

It's funny how the nature is always the culprit.
Last year it was the tsunami in Asia, in 2005, it's Katarina in the USA. You can't help it, really, and those events will repeat themselves year after year. I know this will hurt many people and some may say I'm being heartless, but this is the truth: nature has a right to do that. It was here long before us and will stay here after we are gone. We are a product, which went terribly wrong and now the nature fixing it.
I know I might be thinking differently if it happened here, but I do think that a) we deserve it - all of us and b) it's good for our little planet. I want you to think some things the other way this time... What if Hitler didn't destroy half of the jewish population in Europe? That would mean - what - two times the destroyed amount of people walking on earth. What if there was a cure for AIDS and it was available for everyone? Think that each woman in some of the countries will give birth to two to nine children. What if all those children survived and made more children? This is harsh, I know, but I think of it as a nature's way of trying to cope with it's mistakes.
And that's what we are, dear fellow people, mistakes. I'm glad to announce the whole new world library, the Internet, that I'm glad of nature's response to our irresponsibility - to my irresponsibility. I took a two -hour bath three days ago. I didn't presort my garbage yesterday. Katrina killed maybe thousands of people and destroyed one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You went to work alone in your car. And so did your neighbor. The tsunami last year took people.
I wonder if anyone else sees the pattern here.
No matter how smart monkeys we are, no matter how much money we have or where we live, nature WILL find its way to show us we are really nothing but a bulk of meat useless to other species than bugs that eventually will own us. Make a cure and there will be bacteria twice as dangerous.
